A Week In Darts - March 21, 2025 – Littler Claims Third Nightly Win To Extend Lead At The Top Of The Premier League Luke Littler struck perfection as the Premier League made its annual stop in Wales, whilst Martin Schindler and Gary Anderson claimed Players Championship titles in Germany. Here’s our round-up of all the action... PERFECTION FOR LITTLER IN CARDIFF Luke Littler hit a nine darter on his way to a third nightly title of the season in the Premier League in Cardiff last night. The 18-year-old threw the perfect leg during his 6-4 win against Michael van Gerwen in the final, a match which saw ‘The Nuke’ average 112 and land 10 maximums. With Luke Humphries and Rob Cross also landing perfection in Brighton a fortnight ago, Littler’s nine-dart leg yesterday makes it a record-equalling three nine darters in a single Premier League campaign after just seven weeks of action. The latest title for Littler sees him stretch his lead at the top of the Premier League table to six points, with the reigning champion currently joined by Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen and Gerwyn Price in the play-off spots. I am aiming for another 21 points, and I have put myself in a really good position. “I said last year I didn’t care about finishing top, but as I am there now I may as well stay here!” Luke Littler sitting pretty at the top of the table after Night Seven... 🔢 pic.twitter.com/ipS4OHqGPY— PDC Darts (@OfficialPDC) March 21, 2025 Littler’s run to the title in Cardiff started with a 6-3 win against Nathan Aspinall, before beating Rob Cross 6-2 to progress to a fourth consecutive Premier League final. The German number one defeated Jeffrey de Graaf 8-1 in the final to pick up his first Players Championship title in Hildesheim earlier this week. ‘The Wall’ had opened his account with a pair of victories on the European Tour last year, and followed that up with a maiden title on the floor as he moved clear of Max Hopp as the German with the most PDC senior tournament wins. I don’t care how they have come but I am so happy right now." The 28-year-old survived two match darts against Patrick Geeraets in the semi-finals, as the Dutchman led 6-3 before missing two darts at double 16 for a place in his first final. Schindler won the last four legs to win 7-6 and edge through to the final, where he made light work of Sweden’s de Graaf, racing into a 5-0 lead and taking out a 126 finish on his way to an 8-1 victory.
