We visited Ouseburn Farm to see if Truffle the Psychic Pig could sniff out the winner of this year's PDC World Darts Championship. The 2024/25 PDC World Darts Championship is already underway. We've seen the drama unfold as high-profile players, including Michael Smith, James Wade, Mike De Decker, and Gabriel Clemens, have already been knocked out. With thousands of fans flocking to Ally Pally and millions of people tuning in at home, we wanted to see if Truffle, the Psychic Pig of Ouseburn Farm, could predict who will take home the Sid Waddell Trophy. Before getting into the juicy bit, let's share a little about Ouseburn Farm. The farm is a vibrant urban farm with gardens based in the heart of Newcastle Upon Tyne. The farm empowers people with learning disabilities to learn new life and social skills in enriching workshops, runs outdoor learning sessions for children and families, and welcomes the wider community to their free-to-enter space to improve their physical and mental wellbeing by being amongst animals and nature. Truffle – the Psychic Pig who lives on the farm – comes from a list of iconic farm animals. Notably, Suzie the Psychic Pig, who, in her time, forecasted the winners of the 2020 UEFA Euros. Magic must be added to the feed as we paid Truffle a visit to see if she could predict the winner of this year's PDC World Darts Championship, and her abilities have shone through. Using the Paddy Power list of favourites to win, we asked Truffle to select the winner by choosing a bucket of feed. Who do you think she picked? Truffle’s predictions took place on the 20th Dec, 2024. Craig Heenighan, Managing Director at Darts Corner, shares his thoughts on Truffle's prediction: "We absolutely loved visiting Truffle to see who she predicts the winner of the 2024/25 PDC World Darts Championship will be. After his success last year, we weren't surprised to see her predict the current world champion, Luke Humphries, as the winner. With all eyes on his performance, he'll be under a lot of pressure to defend his title. Still, we, and Truffle, have no doubt he will deliver a stellar performance". Truffle selected Young Sports Personality of the Year, Luke Littler to come in as the second favourite, followed by Michael van Gerwen as the third, and Gary Anderson as fourth.
